    Take the MITCHELL RD. exit................................................0.3 miles
    Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto MITCHELL RD...........................4.7 miles
    MITCHELL RD. becomes EL VISTA AVE............................0.8 miles
    Turn LEFT/EAST onto EDGEBROOK DR.............................0.2 miles
    At the stop sign, turn right/north into the park


    FROM CA-99 SOUTH:
    Take CA-99 SOUTH
    Take the BRIGGSMORE AVE./CARPENTER RD. exit.........0.2 miles
    Turn LEFT/WEST onto W. BRIGGSMORE AVE./N. CARPENTER RD.

    From Sacramento: Take Highway 99 South until you reach Modesto. Then take the Briggsmore/Carpenter Exit. At the stop light at the top of the off-ramp, take a left and head east on Briggsmore. At Tully Road, take a right and head south until you reach the MJC Stadium, which will be on your left-hand side.

    From the Bay Area: Take I-580 east. At the I-580/205 split, take I-205 (sign will say to Stockton, Tracy). I-205 eventually merges into I-5 north. Shortly afterward, take the Highway 120 exit and head east (sign will say Manteca, Yosemite). When you reach Highway 99, take the right-hand exit and head south (sign will say Fresno) until you reach Modesto. Then take the Briggsmore/Carpenter Exit. At the stop light at the top of the off-ramp, take a left and head east on Briggsmore. At Tully Road, take a right and head south until you reach the MJC Stadium, which will be on your left-hand side.

    From the South: Take Highway 99 north until you reach Modesto. Then take the Briggsmore/Carpenter Exit. At the stop light at the top of the off-ramp, take a right and head east on Briggsmore. At Tully Road, take a right and head south until you reach the MJC Stadium, which will be on your left-hand side.




    Club meeting schedule:
    The ShadowChase Running Club's meetings and runs are on the first Thursday evening of each month—6:30 p.m. run; 7:15 potluck, followed by meeting. During the winter, the monthly Thursday meetings are at the Modesto Racquet Club, 200 Norwegian (just north of Briggsdale and east of McHenry. After daylight savings time begins in spring, the monthly meetings are at the covered picnic area in East LaLoma Park. E-mail info@shadowchase.org if you have questions or need directions.

    Club training runs:
    Sundays: Meet at the SaveMart (near Panda Express) on Oakdale and Scenic at 8 a.m. for a run through E. LaLoma Park. Speed and distances vary, based on your own needs. Stay for smoothies and coffee afterward.

    Sunday Walk:
    Meet at the SaveMart on Oakdale and Scenic at 8 a.m. for a walk through E. LaLoma Park. Distances vary. Stay for coffee afterward.

    Saturdays: Meet at parking lot by Mr. T's, Standiford and Tully, at 7 a.m. for a run along the canals. Speed and distances vary—there are groups of all ability of runners. Stay for doughnuts, coffee and conversation afterward.

    Tuesdays: Modesto Junior College Track, corner of Tulley and Coldwell, 5:30 p.m. Interval workout of varying speed and distance—all levels welcome. If you don't feel like running fast, come jog or walk on the all-weather track. Walkers and babyjoggers should stay on the outside lanes, please. Please, no dogs or bikes.

    Thursdays: Meet at the parking lot of Mr. T's, Standiford and Tully, at 5 a.m. for a shorter run along the canals—4-4.5 miles. Stay for a quick doughnut and coffee afterward.
