ShadowChase Running Club is a non-profit organization that promotes running- and fitness-related activities in the greater Modesto area. ShadowChase has given back to the community with the purchase of three drinking fountains and donations to several middle- and high-school running programs. Year after year we make a difference in Modesto and the surrounding communities through our club activities. Our members represent a broad range of fitness-related interests and abilities. Some jog an occasional mile, a few are accomplished marathoners. But most of us just like to get outside and run a leisurely pace. We now have a walking group to start with if you are a beginner or just a walker. Questions? info@shadowchase.org Our 2013 race calendar is full for timing services. Although, we do have equipment necessary for hosting events available for rent. Click here for more information Renew or join the ShadowChase Running club by registering with active.com. See our membership tab for more information. Sign up for the ShadowChase Shorts e-mail messages to receive information and updates on up coming valley running events.

ShadowChase Running Club gave away $9,000 to group of high school kids who spent 26 weeks training for and running the Modesto Marathon. Five high school students will receive checks for $1,000 to help fulfill their dreams of attending college. In all, 13 students received scholarships ranging from $250 to $1,000 for their hard work and perseverance. This wouldn't be possible without the dedication of our volunteers who put in countless hours of work to put on the Modesto Marathon, all the sponsors who contributed to the cause, and all the runners and walkers who participated in our events. Thank you for helping to make Modesto a better place to live. We are proud to be a part of shaping the future of Modesto. Stay tuned for more on some of our winners. Some of their stories will touch your hearts. We don't want to say too much until we fill them in. Congratulations to all our Teens Run Modesto students ... you're all winners! Check out our newly posted medical tips from Dr. Roget on our links page.
