So join now by visiting the Membership page Races: 1. Don Osborne Library Run: 1-mile run/walk and 5K, Feb. 9 2. Almond Blossom Run: 1-mile run/walk and 8K, Feb. 23 3. Chocolate Festival Run: 1-mile run/walk and 5K, May 17 4. Kaiser Permanente Modesto Classic: 1-mile and 5K walk/runs, May 24 5. Escalon Park Fete: 2-mile run/walk and 10K run, July 12 6. Cancer Awareness 2-mile walk/run and 10K run, late September 7. Riverbank Cheese and Wine 5K walk/run and 10K run, Oct. 11 8. MJC Turkey Trot: 1/2-mi kids' fun and 5K run/walk, Nov. 27 Points: Just by volunteering or participating, you earn 25 points. If you place in your age division, you earn: 30 points for 1st, 29 points for 2nd and 28 points for 3rd. If you volunteer, place or participate in both events at any one race, your highest point earnings will be recorded. Only registered runners and volunteers helping with the race will receive Grand Prix points. Unofficial runners with no bib numbers, a.k.a. "bandits," will not receive points. Regular Grand Prix point standings are published in the club's monthly members-only newsletter. Awards: Special ShadowChase Grand Prix awards go to top 3 males and top 3 females ShadowChase awards go to all who score 130 points or more. This has been revised downward since Jan. 1 to reflect the cancellation of the Western States 100 in late June and the deletion of the YMCA Christmas Tree Run in December.
