We are trying a new location for this trip, the LaFayette Reservoir.
For those not familiar with LaFayette, it is located off Highway 24 just west of Walnut Creek.
This recreation area offers a 4.7 mile rim trail that is a good way to introduce yourself to trail running. If you need more mileage, do 2 or more loops.
Afterward, we are headed to downtown Walnut Creek for lunch and refreshments.
