The MMC will be a dual charity event this year. Proceeds will benefit The Modesto Vet Center and The One Fund Boston 2013.
Memorial weekend is a fitting time to remember our veterans and the victims of the 2013 Boston Marathon. Entry fees include a pancake breakfast. A special ceremony is planned.
May 26, 2013 - Wounded Warriors 5k Walk/Run, Manteca Manteca native Christopher Braley was serving in Iraq in September of 2007 as a Navy medic. He was traveling with Marines on a patrol when gunfire broke out and an explosive detonated, sending shrapnel into his right eye and his brain. Christopher spent several months at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda and it was there that President George W. Bush visited with him and his mother, Debra Braley, and presented Christopher with a Purple Heart. Our annual 5k Run/Walk is named after Christopher in honor of his bravery and courage while fighting for his country. June 1, 2013 - MiWuk You Run, 5k & 1 Mile, Miwuk The event is to raise funds for Christian Berets Camp that serves people with special needs. A 9am start for 5k and a 1 mile race is followed by a 10:30am Special Needs 1/2 mile race all in a beautiful forest setting at 4800 ft. elevation. For more information and to register, click here. June 22, 2013 - Marin Ultra Challenge, 50k & 50 Miler, Saulsalito Meticulous effort went into the design of the 50k and 50 mile courses. July 14, 2013 - Jungle Run, 1/2 Marathon & 10k, Campbell The Jungle Run Half Marathon consists of a 13.1-mile run/walk that starts and finishes in Los Gatos at the Los Gatos High School Track. The course extends North through the streets of Los Gatos and onto the scenic Los Gatos Creek Trail at the Los Gatos Creek County Park in Campbell. For more information, click here. August 10, 2013 - Power Soul Stroll for Health, 5k Run/Walk, Sacramento Race is held at William Land Park from 9am to 11am. Children 12 and under race free. The Correctional Workers Who Care would like to invite you to our upcoming event! The CWWC is an organization that is working to support families in our community.

August 25, 2013 - Dirt Inspires 1/2 Marathon & 5 Mile, Monterey County The start and finish of the race will take place at a location on top of a hill within the Laguna Seca Recreation Area overlooking the Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway adn hills surrounding the area. Runners will enter the BLM lands through a gate by Skyline Road and continue onto the roads and trails with expansive views to both the ocean and the Salinas Valley. For more information, click here.
