Meet at the Save Mart parking lot at Scenic Drive and Oakdale Road in Modesto at 7am to carpool. If going up on your own, meet in the upper parking lot at Knights Ferry. Take Highway 120 east, towards Sonora to Knights Ferry. Varying distances.

December 5, 2013 - ShadowChase Christmas Party & General Meeting
Mark your calendars now for our next regular club meeting. It will be the annual ShadowChase Christmas potluck and gift exchange at Tess Cormier's house in Ripon beginning at 6:30pm. Check your November newsletter for the address. There's a gift exchange if you'd like to participate. Bring a gift valued at approximately $20. It does NOT have to be run related. Everything from gift cards to wine to food & candy have been known to appear. It's a potluck, of course, and feel free to bring a beverage to share. Hope to see all members, old and new there!

"The Double Road Race is the only running event with a halftime. Run 10K first, rest and relax for about an hour, then run 5K. Times are combined for scoring. All Double finishers receive a medal, high performance shirt, draw-string tote bag, color program and more," says Bob Anderson, who created the new sport Double Road Race. Whether it's your first trail run or you're looking to log that 1,000th mile before the clock strikes midnight, Lake Chabot is where the party is going to be on Saturday morning, December 28th!

Each lap is 1.061 miles around the lagoon at Crissy Field with spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, Alcatraz and the San Francisco Bay. Welcome the new year at Crissy Field, run from 2013 through to 2014 surrounded by the beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the coastline. You might even get to see the fireworks! January 1, 2014 - New Year's 5k Polar Run/Dunk, Tracy
Eagal Lakes invites you to celebrate the beginning of the new year with a 5K run/walk that has an optional polar Bear Dunk in to Eagal Lakes prior to the event finish area. The post-race celebration includes hot food, hot chocolate and coffee for all participants. Stay Dry or Choose the Polar Bear Dunk. Participants in this 3.1 mile run/walk can choose to stay dry and complete in the standard 5K run/walk or they can choose to select the optional Polar Bear 5K that takes a brief detour into Eagal Lakes roughly 50 yards before the 5K finish line.
